About

For those that don’t know me, I’m currently employed by Amazon Web Services in Atlanta, GA.  My current title is that of Solutions Architect.  My primary responsibilities include working with customers to architect applications that run in the cloud.  I help customers with designing their applications for resiliency, availability, security, and cost-effectiveness in mind.  While mostly a cloud generalist, I have found a passion for building applications with highly connected data sets.  This has led me to become a subject matter expert in the area of graph databases and Amazon Neptune, in particular.

I currently live in the suburbs of Atlanta with my lovely wife Anita and our kids.  When not working, I’m spending time with my extended family, serving at church, or traveling for pleasure.  I’m also an avid sport rocketeer and member of both the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) and the Southern Area Rocketry Club (SoAR).  (Pictured with me is a 2X upscale JBR-013 with a 29mm motor mount.  I last successfully launched this in September 2015 in Lilly, GA on a G76 motor.)

I’ve been working in the field of IT for 19 years, with a 5 year break in the middle to attend college.  I have a Computer Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) that I attained in 2003.  Since then, I have worked for four different IT resellers and/or consultancies before starting with Amazon in July of 2017.  My LinkedIn profile provides further depth around my career accolades and can be found here:  https://www.linkedin.com/in/triggan/
