About

For those that don’t know me, I’m currently employed by iVision, Inc. in Atlanta, GA.  My current title is that of Chief Architect.  My primary responsibilities include maintaining the reference architecture for virtualization, storage, and compute solutions within the company.  I spend most of my time reviewing new technologies and helping to instill an innovative spirit and culture within the company.

I currently live in the suburbs of Atlanta with my lovely wife Anita and our kids.  When not working, I’m spending time with my extended family, serving at church, or traveling for pleasure.  I’m also an avid sport rocketeer and member of both the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) and the Southern Area Rocketry Club (SoAR).  (Pictured with me is a 2X upscale JBR-013 with a 29mm motor mount.  I last successfully launched this in September 2015 in Lilly, GA on a G76 motor.)

I’ve been working in the field of IT for 19 years, with a 5 year break in the middle to attend college.  I have a Computer Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) that I attained in 2003.  Since then, I have worked for four different IT resellers and/or consultancies over the past 12 years.  My LinkedIn profile provides further depth around my career accolades and can be found here:  http://www.linkedin.com/pub/taylor-riggan/3/85/7aa
